• Analysis Results: Condition scores (0-100), analysis timestamps, mood states (text only - NO facial images are collected or stored)

• User Profile: Optional nickname or display name

2.3 Camera Data Processing

• Real-time Processing Only: Camera feed is processed in real-time for analysis
• No Storage: Facial images are NEVER saved to device storage or transmitted to servers
• Immediate Deletion: All image data is removed from memory immediately after analysis

3. How We Process Information

3.1 Processing Purpose

• Providing real-time condition analysis and feedback
• Tracking condition trends over time (using numerical data only)
• Improving app functionality and user experience
• Generating anonymized usage statistics

3.2 Processing Method

• On-Device Processing: All facial analysis occurs exclusively on your device
• No Server Transmission: Facial images and biometric data never leave your device
• Real-Time Analysis: Processing happens in real-time with immediate data disposal

3.3 Face Data Processing Policy

Explicit Statement on Face Data Non-Retention

Check Me does NOT retain any face data. All facial analysis is performed in real-time on your device, and face data is immediately and completely erased from memory after processing. We do not store, transmit, backup, or retain facial images or biometric face data in any form.

Purpose of Face Data Processing

We process face data exclusively for the following purposes:

• Real-time emotion detection: To analyze your current emotional state and provide immediate feedback
• Daily wellness monitoring: To help you track your emotional patterns throughout the day
• Personalized insights: To provide customized wellness recommendations based on your emotional trends
• Mental health support: To help you better understand and manage your emotional wellbeing

Face Data Storage Duration

• Raw facial images: NOT stored at all - processed in real-time and immediately deleted from memory (0 seconds retention)
• Biometric face data: NOT stored at all - computed temporarily for analysis and immediately discarded (0 seconds retention)
• Face templates or models: NOT created or stored
• Only numerical results retained: We only store numerical emotion scores (0-100) and text mood labels, never face data itself

Reason for Our Storage Policy

We have designed our app to process face data without retention because:

• Privacy First: Your facial data is highly sensitive and we respect your privacy
• Security: Not storing face data eliminates any risk of facial data breaches
• Compliance: We adhere to the strictest privacy standards and regulations
• Trust: We want you to feel confident using our app without privacy concerns

4.2 Analysis Results Storage (NOT Face Data)

What We Store (Numerical Data Only)

We explicitly confirm that NO face data is retained. We only store:

• Condition scores: Numerical values (0-100) representing emotional states
• Timestamps: Date and time of each analysis session
• Mood labels: Text descriptions like “Happy”, “Tired”, “Focused”, “Stressed”
• Aggregate statistics: Daily/weekly/monthly averages and trends

Why We Store Analysis Results

• Progress Tracking: To enable you to monitor your emotional wellbeing over time
• Pattern Recognition: To identify trends that may help improve your mental health
• Historical Insights: To provide meaningful comparisons and progress reports
• Personal Growth: To support your journey toward better emotional awareness

Storage Duration and Justification

• Analysis Results: Retained for maximum 30 days
• Why 30 Days: This period provides sufficient historical context for meaningful trend analysis while minimizing data retention
• Automatic Deletion: Data older than 30 days is automatically deleted on a rolling basis
• User Control: You can manually delete any or all history at any time through the app settings
• Complete Removal: All data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app

Data Not Stored

We explicitly DO NOT store:

• Facial images or photographs
• Biometric face data or face templates
• Face recognition models
• Video recordings
• Any identifiable facial features

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

5.1 Face Data Sharing Statement

Check Me does NOT share any face data with third parties. Since we don’t retain face data, there is no face data to share. This includes:

• NO sharing of facial images
• NO sharing of biometric face data
• NO sharing of face templates or models
• NO sharing of any face-related information

5.2 Information We DO NOT Share

• Facial Images: NEVER shared with anyone (not retained to begin with)
• Biometric Data: NEVER collected, stored, or shared
• Personal Identification: No personally identifiable information is shared
• Raw Analysis Data: Individual analysis results are never shared

5.3 Anonymized Data We May Share

• Usage Statistics: App open frequency, feature usage counts (via Google Analytics)
• Ad Performance: Ad interaction metrics (via Google AdMob) - no personal data
• Crash Reports: Technical error data (via Firebase Crashlytics) - no personal data

5.4 Purpose of Limited Sharing

• Improving app stability and performance

• View all your stored analysis results in the History section
• Export your data through the app’s export feature

7.2 Deletion Rights

• Delete individual analysis results at any time
• Clear all history data with one action
• Complete data removal upon app uninstallation
• Request immediate deletion of all data

• Opt-out of analytics collection in Settings

• Disable camera access at any time through iOS Settings

8. Children’s Privacy

Check Me does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable age, we will take steps to delete such information immediately.

9. International Data Transfers

All data processing occurs on your device. We do not transfer your data internationally as no personal data, including face data, ever leaves your device.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information is collected
• Right to know if personal information is sold or disclosed (we do NOT sell any data)
• Right to opt-out of sale of personal information (not applicable as we don’t sell data)

10.1 CCPA Face Data Disclosure

Under CCPA, we specifically disclose:

• We process face data but DO NOT retain it
• Face data is processed solely on-device
• No face data is sold or shared with third parties
• You have the right to opt-out of face processing by not using the camera feature

11. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Legal Basis: We process data based on legitimate interests and consent
• Data Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format

11.1 GDPR Biometric Data Disclosure

Under GDPR Article 9 (processing of special categories of data):

• Face data is considered biometric data
• We process it based on your explicit consent
• Processing is done solely on your device
• No biometric data is retained after processing
• You can withdraw consent at any time by stopping use of the camera feature

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
• Updating the “Last Updated” date
• Sending an in-app notification for significant changes

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

13. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will:

• Notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery
• Provide details about what information was involved
• Explain steps taken to address the breach
• Offer guidance on protective measures you can take

Note: Since we don’t retain face data, face data breaches are not possible.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by:

• Disabling camera access in iOS Settings
• Deleting your history data
• Uninstalling the app

By enabling the camera feature, you specifically consent to:

• Real-time processing of your face for emotion analysis
• Immediate deletion of all face data after processing
• Storage of only numerical emotion scores, not face data
• Understanding that face data is never retained or shared

18. Effective Date

This Privacy Policy is effective as of January 9, 2025, and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted.
